In order to sign into MyCoyote, you will need to set your browser to accept cookies.

How to ensure that your system is set up to accept cookies?

If you are seeing cookie errors and you have ensured that your browser is set to accept cookies:

  • Please be sure that your browser is up to date and that you are using a browser which has been tested with MyCoyote. You can check the system requirements by clicking here.
  • Depending on how you connect to the Internet, you may be behind a firewall, a proxy server, or a web caching system which could interfere with how cookies are set. You may need to contact your Internet service provider or the system administrator of your department to find out if they are running one or more of the above, and if there is a way around it.
  • Please make sure that your system clock in your computer is set to the current date and time as this can cause problems with setting the cookie correctly.

Clearing Cache and Deleting Cookies

Clearing your browser cache or deleting your cookies is sometimes needed in order to ensure all CMS functionality is working properly. Internet Explorer is the Recommended Browser. When pages are accessed on a regular basis, it is recommended that you clear your cache weekly so you are always viewing the latest version of the page. Though deleting your cookies should be done sparingly, at times it is necessary. Most often it is needed after a new release of the database or when a new version of the home page is made available.

Clear Cache and Delete Cookies - Internet Explorer 7:

  • On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
  • On the General tab, in the Browsing history section, click the Delete... button. This will bring up the Delete Browsing History Box.
    1. Select the Delete files... button to delete Temporary Internet Files
    2. Select the Delete cookies... button to delete Cookies
    3. Select the Delete history... button to delete your browsing history
  • After you select delete a box will appear asking you to confirm you would like to delete the files. Select Yes for each one.
  • Click Yes, and then click Close and OK again.


  • Delete Cookies - Internet Explorer 6:

  • On the Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click Internet Options. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
  • On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.
  • Click OK, and then click OK again.


  • Clear Cache - Internet Explorer 6:

  • On the Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  • On the General tab, click the Settings button, and then click the View files button.
  • In the window (to your hard disk drive) that opens, find the cookie you want to delete.
  • Click to select the cookie you want to delete. If you want to delete more than one cookie, press CTRL as you click each cookie that you want to delete (this lets you select a group of cookies). If you want to delete all the existing cookies, press CTRL+A to select them all.
  • Press the Delete key.
  • When you are finished, click OK twice.
